Missing you already, Jerry Sue, a.k.a Alexandra. So many memories. Practically grew up at your house--fun times hanging out with your daughter, Courtney, my best friend. Which worked out well since my Mom, Gwyn, was one of yours. You were like a second family, which by default made you like a second Mom. Beach trips, ski trips, camping trips...Was looking through old pictures (yes, there are many and some not fit to print) and loved this one taken on Mt. Hood in 1968. The whole crew....(except my Mom, Gwyn, who took the picture). Love the look on Alexandra's face! The Spencer twins, Joanne and Suzanne, my sister Sheryl, my brother Steve, and Courtney. I can't remember if this was the trip where Courtney was lifted about 30 feet off the ground when her coat got caught on the T-bar at Multipor or not, but most likely. Camping with Jerry Sue was also memorable, especially water skiing. Somehow, we survived. But of all the times we spent together, the thing I'll remember most is her singing. Singing along with opera music in the background. Opera music wasn't too popular in our house as we were more the John Phillip Sousa and Roger Miller type. So going to Courtney's house was also a cultural experience. This included cooking. Alexandra made the best grits on this earth. Memorable to this day. Rest in peace, dear Jerry Sue. You will be missed always and always in our hearts.
