Obituary of Mary Jeanne Schulze
Mary Jeanne Schulze was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 27, 1956. She was the third and youngest child to Eileen and George Schulze. Jeanne was 8 years old when her family moved to Portland, Oregon to unite with her mother’s family. She grew up with many cousins and lots of family gatherings. Jeanne attended Richmond Grade School and Marshall High School. During her high school years, she found the passion for painting and creating. Jeanne attended Portland State University to further her education and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. She graduated from Portland State University on December 19, 1980.
Jeanne loved to travel and made several trips to Europe. Her favorite destination was Santorini, Greece. She fell in love with the people, architecture, language and history. She was passionate about painting, pencil drawing and paper cutting. She loved to paint landscapes of mountains using beautiful vibrant colors which was a window to her beautiful spirit and soul.
Jeanne was an advocate for the environment and preserving the earth was her legacy. She was very happy when her solar panels were installed and she could watch the meter spin backwards. She was excited to be doing her part saving energy and saving trees.
Jeanne passed March 5, 2019 and will be greatly missed as a sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend. Her battle was huge, but she was determined to be strong and positive with her disease. She will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
